1. How do I connect my Instagram account to KommIA?

Once the app is installed, go to Account → My Instagram account and tap "Connect my account". KommIA redirects you to Meta's official login page: you sign in with your Instagram credentials, you grant access, and you're done. You can connect multiple accounts if you manage several brands.

Important: KommIA never stores your Instagram password. Authentication uses Meta's official OAuth, the same secure protocol Meta's own apps use.

2. I have a personal Instagram account, can I still use KommIA?

Not directly. Instagram's official API (managed by Meta) only works with a Business or Creator account. It's a Meta rule, not a KommIA one.

The good news: switching from personal to Business or Creator is free and takes 30 seconds in the Instagram app (Settings → Account → Switch to professional account). You keep your @, your followers, your posts. You just unlock the official statistics and pro tools.

3. How does the 30-day free trial work?

You download KommIA, create your account on kommia.com and use the app for 30 days, no credit card required.

After those 30 days, app access pauses. If you want to continue, you finalise your subscription on kommia.com (€49.90/month or €39.90/month annual). Payment is handled by Stripe. If you decide not to continue, no action needed: no charge, no commitment.

4. How do I cancel my subscription?

Once you've subscribed, you can cancel at any time from your Stripe customer portal (link sent by email when you confirm your subscription). A few clicks, no need to call or justify.

Your access stays active until the end of the paid period, then automatically stops. No penalty, no commitment.

5. Is my data safe? Where is it stored?

Yes. Multiple layers of protection:

· European hosting at OVH (France)
· GDPR-native: you keep control of your data, you can export or delete it at any time
· No Instagram password stored: authentication uses Meta's official OAuth
· No banking data stored on our side: Stripe handles 100% of payments (PCI-DSS standard)
· In-transit encryption on all exchanges

6. Can the AI publish without my authorisation?

No, never. You approve every post before it gets scheduled or published. The AI suggests (ideas, captions, hashtags, slots), you approve.

It's a deliberate product choice: the creative call stays yours. KommIA never acts in your name without your OK.

7. Does KommIA work for my industry?

Yes. KommIA is designed for all industries: beauty, restaurants, coaching, tattoo, fitness, interior design, local retail, consulting, services, and many more.

When you create your account, you fill in your industry, specialty, offer and tone. The AI then adapts to your trade for every generation (ideas, captions, hashtags). You won't get the same kind of post if you're a tattoo artist or a restaurant owner.

8. How do AI-suggested DM replies work?

When you receive a DM or a comment on Instagram, KommIA gives you 3 replies: short, medium, long. You pick the one that fits, you can edit it in 2 seconds, then send.

Especially useful for tricky topics (last-minute cancellations, special requests, declining quotes): the AI helps you phrase what you don't want to rewrite ten times a week.

9. How many Instagram accounts can I connect?

You can connect up to 10 Instagram accounts in a single KommIA app. Useful if you run your main brand plus a side account, or if you're a freelancer with several activities.

The main account is marked with a badge, and you can switch between accounts directly from the Account → My Instagram account section.

10. How do I delete my account and all my data?

Email support@kommia.com with your deletion request. We handle it within 24 hours, and all your data is wiped within 30 days of your request, in line with GDPR.

You can also request a full export of your data before deletion at any time.
